As part of a small team, I played a crucial role in the development of the DGL website. My primary contribution was the implementation of the Locations page, which presented unique challenges that required a collaborative effort to overcome. One significant challenge involved working closely with the widget supplier to ensure its smooth integration and functionality.
Additionally, this page required a considerable amount of data to be presented accurately, which necessitated extensive communication with the client to ensure that we captured their requirements precisely. This project was an excellent opportunity for me to hone my skills in team coordination and client management.
Developing My Skills
Through my work on this project, I gained a deeper understanding of the intricate nature of web development. I learned that the art of achieving an optimal solution is often found between what is possible and what is currently available within the given platform. Moreover, this project allowed me to develop my proficiency in HTML and CSS code, as I had to modify and customize widgets to meet the client’s needs.
This project also taught me a lot about using dynamic pages within websites, and I have applied these skills in subsequent projects. By leveraging dynamic content, I have been able to create websites that are both engaging and responsive to user behavior.
Overall, the DGL website project was a fantastic opportunity for me to demonstrate my technical expertise and collaborative abilities while helping to create a successful digital product.
